Student Scholarships
The WVU Philosophy Department attracts some of the best students at WVU. Thanks to the generosity of friends and alumni of the department, we have substantial scholarships available to reward some of our finest majors.
Daniel B. Purinton Scholarship
The Department of Philosophy awards up to three Daniel Boardman Purinton Scholarships each year to outstanding philosophy majors who are in their junior or senior year.
McKay-Coast Scholarship
The Department awards two McKay Coast Scholarships each year to philosophy majors who show great academic promise. This scholarship is currently worth $1000.
